Fatshion: Gingham Dress
Hi babes! I’m having a lazy Saturday but by the time you read this, it will be Sunday. I’m working on a blog post all day on Sunday for a really exciting Mexican recipe. I will share it with you next month though. I know you’re going to love it. In the meantime, today I just bought ingredients for the recipe and now I’m writing this post. My Caturday has been chill, which is nice because it’s really hot in SoCal today.
I’m watching Lord of the Rings: Return of the King today because I have this weird obsessive compulsive thing where I have to watch the Lord of the Rings movies if they’re on TV. It’s like mandatory for my life. I have seen them all so many times now. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great movies and they’re a great go-to when there’s nothing else on TV. When there is though…well, talk to my obsessive impulsiveness. Do you have any quirks like that?
I have painted my nails lately. Well, ever since I stopped working. It’s fun to be able to paint my nails and not have to worry about it chipping off immediately because I’m working with plants and soil. I do miss working with plants though. I am going to find a part-time job soon so if I get lucky, it will be with plants. We’ll see though. I’m going to take anything I can get that works with my schedule. If you have any job leads, or need your website layout rebuilt, let me know. I’m good at it, I promise. I’ve done my own website (for like 16 years!) and I’ve built the Family Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning website. I’m in the process of redesigning it now to make it fresher and more accessible. I love building websites – it’s fun. 🙂
Ok since this is a Fatshion outfit post, I should probably talk about the outfit, right? This is another one of those maternity dresses turned fat girl dress like the one I wore here. This one was a lot longer and kind of matronly so I had it hemmed way shorter to be this cute little gingham dress. I like it because it’s perfect for summer, works well with shorts or not, and then I can transition it into colder months with some tights or leggings and a turtleneck. Plus the little bodice details are too cute. I got this hat on Ebay forever ago when I had short hair. This is my first time wearing it with my new longer hair cut and I still love it. It’s super cute, right? Oh yeah, and if you missed my last post where I talked about my hair cut, please support and check out Hair by Kid. They’re a queer young person of color who does rad short and long cuts. I love their work!
