Fatshion: Modcloth Stylin’
Disclosure: I received products in exchange for my opinions. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hi friends! I’m partnering with ModCloth today to show you some rad fat fashions! Did you know that ModCloth is body size inclusive? They believe fashion is for every body and includes sizes from XXS to 4XL! If you use the ModCloth mobile app, you can use their Fit for Me feature which recommends items based on your size. Plus, they have in-house stylists to help you shop the site. As a plus size babe, this is especially important if I have fit questions when ordering online. AND, to top it off, they have a style gallery of real customers so you can see how the items fit on different people.
I picked out this adorable sleeveless button up tunic in a 1XL and it fits perfectly. I love the polka dots and the pink tie neck details. It’s a precious blouse and it fits seamlessly into my wardrobe. The tunic reminds me of so many vintage dresses and blouses I used to have with tie necks. I love a good tie neck! Plus this one has a sweet dainty ruffle collar that I love too. It’s light and airy and perfect for those warm summer time days. I can’t wait to pair it with other bottoms and even layer it up in the Fall.
I wore this outfit to a zine reading in Los Angeles. The reading was a benefit for Trans Haven LA which is an organization that supports local trans people in the community. The event was a good success – there were lots of people reading and singing and playing music, I sold some zines, and saw some friends. I also made some new friends too! Plus my babe, Presley, came out with some friends to support me and the event. It felt good to have him in the audience to cheer everyone on. I was supposed to read that night too but my anxiety was acting up so I didn’t get to. It’s ok though! I love queer community events so much – they make me feel so at home with my community. We raised some money for a great cause and shared some art with each other. It was beautiful.
And oh my gosh, let me gush about these oxford flats in sherbet. How cute are they?! These oxfords are like some of my dream shoes. I love the colors, I love the design, and I love the fit. I love how twee they are and how perfectly nerdy you can make them look. They are just too cool for school. I love how versatile oxfords are too – you can wear them with skirts, jeans, pants, leggings, dresses, you name it!
This is probably one of my favorite outfits I’ve shared with you – and that’s saying a lot! My babe, Presley, took these for me outside of the event and I couldn’t be more pleased with how they turned out. I look cute, right? 🙂
