Fatshion: Pink Floral Maxi Dress
Hi friends! How is your week going? My week was mellow but good. I’m making some changes to my class schedule so I have more free time on my hands now. I wore this outfit last week to have dinner with my best friend and to hang out with a partner after. I love it! The dress is vintage and I got it at a thrift store for $1.50 and it fits perfectly. I love when you find that perfect score at a thrift store, it’s on sale, and it fits. Who could ask for more, really?
Speaking of my best friend – we went out for dinner tonight too after buying my maid of honor dress for her wedding in October. I’ve eaten some yummy food lately. We had Vietnamese food from my favorite Vietnamese restaurant, Viet Huong, the first time we went out and pizza tonight. I had an elote pizza from a local pizza place called Rose City Pizza and it was amazing. I had it for the first time a few weeks ago with my other best friend and I had dreamed of it ever since. It’s as amazing as it sounds – it’s sweet because of the corn, spicy, creamy, and just oh so good. I’m still dreaming of it and I just ate it, lol! I seriously want to take all of my friends and dates there to try it!
I recently got my hair cut by a queer young person of color. I love going to see them to get my hair done. You can see it in my next post – I’m only pointing out the boring before look here because my layers had grown out so much! But yeah, if you’re in the LA area, support a young queer person of color and get a rad cut. Check out Hair by Kid. I’ll show you the after photo in my next post, I promise! Keep a look out for it – it’s a great cut with lots of cute layers.
I’m wearing my favorite pins on my jacket. The Put It in the Universe pin is from Homegirl Por Vida (a shop run by my friend Xenia of RaisedbyCulture) and I love it. And the hand-stamped Femme pin is from Wild Fancy Design (a shop run by one of my favorite people and artists, Lex Non Scripta and their partner) which has amazing jewelry for queers. Please check them both out and support the businesses! The bee pin is a vintage find that I wear with almost everything when I wear this jacket. I love it so much. It’s weird and quirky and so so me. Plus I love bees so there’s that.
