Hi friends! I have mentioned before how much I love ModCloth. They are committed to body positivity and inclusivity by offering sizes between XXS and 4XL. As if that wasn’t enough, if you use the ModCloth app, you can get item recommendations based on your size which can be super helpful when browsing through their massive catalog. Not wanting to download another app? ModCloth has in-house stylists that will help you shop the site – they can help you find items based on your size and/or style. If you just want some inspiration for what ModCloth offers, check out their style gallery with photos from real-life ModCloth customers. ModCloth goes out of their way to make your online shopping experience a great one.

With that in mind, I chose this outfit to celebrate the coming of Fall and also to wear when I saw New Order at the Hollywood Bowl recently. I wanted something fun, original, a little edgy, and for sure spooky. I mean, how else can you celebrate Fall without a little dose of something spooky? Can you tell that Halloween is my favorite holiday? πŸ˜‰ This Cupcake Consultant Velvet Jumper in Emerald is one of my favorite pieces of clothing I’ve ever owned. I purchased it in a 1XL and it fit almost perfectly – I just had to shorten the straps a bit (they are adjustable but it wasn’t enough for me) – short people problems! The straps would have worked fine if my chest was bigger for what it’s worth. Everything else about it fit perfectly though! It’s a great color (green is my favorite!) and I can pair it with so many tops and cardigans this season. I’m excited! I decided to go with a simple black and white striped shirt for this outfit because I really wanted the cardigan to shine.

This Hell Bunny Happy Skull-idays Cardigan is my other new clothing favorite! The classic charted intarsia design in the knitting is so Fall/Holiday-centric but the addition of the skulls and crossbones send it to the next level. I love a good black cardigan but sometimes you just need one with a little more pizzazz, you know? This skull cardigan definitely lives up to that. I got the cardigan in an XL (not a 1XL) because I like my cardigans to be fitted and a little on the small side. It fit exactly how I wanted it to! This is one of those sweaters that lets me channel my inner goth or punk kid so basically I can wear this sweater all year long! Well, when it’s cool enough to anyway. πŸ˜‰

I also got this Boutique Hopping Sleeveless Top in Noir in a 1XL and the Breath and Balance Bralette in Ocean in a 1XL and I’m in love with both! I’ve worn both multiple times since I got them a couple weeks ago!

Speaking of goth punks, like I mentioned earlier, I wore this to see New Order perform at the Hollywood Bowl. My partner,Β Mayra Cortez, who’s an amazing Los Angeles-based photographer, took these photos of me in my front yard before we left for the show. The show was AMAZING! I have been such a big Joy Division/New Order fan since high school so it was a dream come true to be able to see them perform. They played a couple Joy Division songs in their set and then their entire encore was Joy Division songs. Plus they played all of my New Order favorites like “Temptation” and “Crystal.” I couldn’t have asked for a better night!
